REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The Financial Service Authority has submitted a proposal of indicative budget ceilings to Ministry of Finance in 2015. The number reached 3.5 trillion IDR, an increase of 40 percent compared to 2.4 trillion IDR of OJK budget this year.
"The increase is necessary to meet the challenges ahead," Chairman of OJK's Board of Commissioners, Muliaman D Hadad said on Tuesday evening at Parliament building.
The number does not include the increase of office and building infrastructure budget about 250 billion IDR. The 3.5 trillion of indicative budget ceilings consisted of 1.7 trillion IDR from state budget and 1.8 trillion IDR from industrial levies.
OJK's budget increased because of several things, namely the administrative activities of 2.3 trillion IDR. It is used for additional office facilities, the increase in remuneration, the increase number of employees, cost of living and merit adjustment, as well as the increase of organizational development and human resources.
OJK will add more than 600 new employees from various levels. OJK currently has 2,565 employees, consist of 43 officials of Echelon I, 221 officials of Echelon II, 276 officials of Echelon III, 581 officials of Echelon IV and 1,444 staffers.
The increase of OJK budget next year will be used to finance the procurement of assets of 570 billion IDR. The largest increase is to finance the building and equipment, from 75.36 billion IDR in 2014 to 274.7 billion IDR in 2915. This budget is used to rent office buildings in a number of areas.
