REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – Amien Rais as the Chairman of Board of Trustees of National Mandate Party (PAN) doubts that President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) will remove Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) from the ruling coalition (Setgab). He believes that PKS will stay in the ruling coalition despite its different stance with other coalition parties in Setgab.
“I think, PKS will not be removed from the coalition,” Rais said on Sunday night.
He said, PKS would stay because SBY will not dare to remove it. On the other hand, Rais was also surprised to see PKS to stay within coalition. If Rais were in SBY’s position, he would definitely remove the party from coalition due to its conflicting position in a number of issues.
“This is bizarre. PKS breached the ethic of coalition, but they keep staying,” he said. He also saw the mystery behind PKS decision to have different stance from other coalition’s members.
