REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - The Vice Speaker of People's Consultative Assembly, Lukman Hakim Saifudin, condemns Israel that restricts Palestinian Muslim conducting Friday prayer in Al-Aqsha Mosque. The Israelis step is considered as overreacting.
"We cannot allow this," Hakim said on Friday. The restriction violates human rights on religious practice.
He urged Indonesian Government to send protest notes for Israel over the case. In addition, Indonesia must urge United Nation (UN) and other international boards to pro actively create peace in Palestine.
Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono is expected to talk about Israel-Palestine conflict and generate solutions in Asean Summit in Kamboja and East Asia Summit in Pakistan.
