ERP systems conducted in 2014 in Jakarta

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - The electronic road pricing (ERP) or electronic pay road system will be implemented along protocol roads in Jakarta next year. ERP system will be implemented for the first time for corridor one of Transjakarta bus.

"Especially at Ratu Plaza shelter, from Blok M to Kota Tua. So, busses in whole corridor one of Transjakarta will be free of charge," Deputy Governor of Jakarta, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama said recently in event of Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2013.

Implementation of ERP systems is expected to reduce the number of vehicles in several congestion points in Jakarta. Government of Jakarta also plans to implement parking fees according to each zone area. 

ERP system will be implemented if bus fleet is sufficient. Jakarta government will provide free of charge's buses. 

Purnama said that he was optimistic that ERP system implementation along corridor one of Transjakarta would not harm transportation business in Jakarta, especially commuter bus. Purnama said that every transportation mode had its own market share. Moroever, the ERP system is only implemented to short distance route.
