REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, DENPASAR -- Central government through Family Planning Coordinating Board (BKKBN) allocated 14.49 billion IDR for family planning program (KB) in Bali in 2014. Head of Advocacy, Communication, Information and Education Division in BKKBN Bali, Nyoman Sumiartha said that the fund came of two sources.
"About 8.35 billion IDR of fund for nine districts and cities, while 6.14 billion IDR as special allocation fund for seven districts, except Badung and Denpasar district," Sumiartha said recently.
Another source came from cost of movement budget adjusted to the achievement of KB's acceptors who use intrauterine device (IUD) as a long-term birth control method, MOP and MOV surgery, implant's revocation cost and cost of failure acceptors.
Each district or city also allocated additional funds to the successful implementation of KB program. BKKBN Bali has contract with 69,829 new participants of KB this year, consisted of 40,357 participants using long-term contraceptive method (LTM), while the rest using other types.
