Graft case doesn't halt PPP to throw its support to Prabowo Subianto

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - The United Development Party (PPP) keeps throwing its support to Prabowo Subianto, after its chairman, Suryadharma Ali became the suspect of graft case at Ministry of Religious Affairs. 

Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) announced on Thursday that Ali, also Minister of Religious Affairs, involved in graft case related to hajj management projects during 2012-2013 period.

Secretary General of PPP, Romahurmuziy, underlined that Ali's status would not affect the party's position on to support presidential hopeful Prabowo Subianto and his running mate, Hatta Rajasa.

"No doubt, PPP keeps supporting Prabowo-Hatta. The decision-making process has been conducted at institutional and constitutional level," Romahurmuziy said on Friday.

According to Romahurmuziy, PPP is still monitoring the case involving Ali. He asked to all PPP cadres and followers to remain united. He also reminded all parties to avoid any provocation or statements which harmful to the unity.
