REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BANDUNG -- A landslide damaged more than ten houses in Cipongkor sub-district in West Bandung district, West Java province, on Friday evening.
"The landslide occurred on Friday evening, damaging more than ten houses. But there are no reports of any casualty," Chief of Police of Sindangkerta Adjunct Commissioner Supriatna said here on Saturday (20/12).
At least 40 people, who lost their homes in the disaster, were evacuated.
The landslide hit Baranangsiang village, Cipongkor, at around 8.00 p. m. local time, following incessant heavy rains over the last few days.
The Saguling Road that connects Cipongkor to four other sub-districts was cut off because part of the road was buried by mud from the landslide.
