REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BATAM -- Management Board (BP) of Batam Island in Riau Islands province will immediately offer bid of the Sekupang seaport development with the budget around Rp57 billion, an official said.
"The construction of a new building will be auctioned this month. In addition, a terminal has also been prepared," development planning affairs official of BP Batam Benny Syahroni said here on Tuesday (7/4).
According to him, the Sekupang seaport development is expected to be completed within 13 months.
The development of the new terminal will be followed by quay and pontoon, Benny pointed out.
Apart from the Sekupang, BP Batam will also construct Telaga Punggur port by allocating Rp64 billion funds.
