Parliament officially selects new five KPK leaders

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Commission III of House of Representatives (DPR) conducted voting to select candidates for new leadership of Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). Of the ten names proposed by selection committee (Pansel) KPK, five people officially got the most votes from 54 members of Commission III which were present.

The new five KPK leaders, among others, Agus Raharjo, Basariah Panjaitan, Alexander Marwata, Saut Situmorang, and Laode Muhammad Sharif. Commission III continued the voting to select Chairman of KPK from the five names.

Interestingly, the hero of KPK be willing for getting a few votes. Johan Budi only got 25 votes and Busyro Muqqodas only got 2 votes.

Here are the details; Agus Raharjo (53 votes), Basariah Panjaitan (51 votes), Alexander Marwata (43 votes), Saut Situmorang (37 votes), and Laode Muhammad Sharif (37 votes), Johan Budi (25 votes), Rabby Arya Brata (14 votes), Sujanarko (3 votes), Busyro Muqoddas (2 votes), and Surya Tjandra (0 vote).
