REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, PALEMBANG - South Sumatra Province already prepared its infrastructures to host 2018 Asian Games, Vice Chairman of Commission V South Sumatra DPRD, RA Anita Noeringhati, said.
According to her, South Sumatra has international standard sport arenas. It was because this province had ever hosted SEA Games and Islamic Solidarity Games.
Palembang, capital of South Sumatra also has built many hotels and was able to receive visitors from abroad.
"There is no reason that South Sumatra is not ready to host 2018 Asian Games," she added.
Anita hoped the central government could immediately issue a presidential decree on the implementation of 2018 Asian Games as the host. So that South Sumatra Province could has a legal basis to use budget funds.
