REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Medical coordinator of 212 rally, Dr. Saleh Assegaf, refused to explain in detail about medical equipments used by Setya Novanto (Setnov), as seen in his viral photo.
He said it was not necessary to comment on a viral photo of Setya Novanto lying weak in a hospital.
He suggested Novanto to step down as speaker of House of Representatives.
"The time wasted if we are commenting this photo too much. Every picture can be set. I suggest Setya Novanto to step down. That's enough," said Dr. Saleh to Republika.co.id, on Thursday.
The media should not to be used as a tool to help Novanto in the court, he advised.
Photo of the suspect in graft case of e-ID procurement project lying weak in the hospital, has widely spread on Wednesday. He was accompanied with several medical devices, such as electrocardiogram and mask for sleeping disorder therapy.
