REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has brought the suspect in e-ID card procurement case, Setya Novanto to Cipto Mangunkusumo (RSCM) Kencana hospital, Jakarta, for check up.
"This afternoon, SN underwent check up after hospitalization," said KPK spokesperson Febri Diansyah referring to Novanto by his initials, on Tuesday (November 28).
Febri said, the team of doctors who took care the House of Representatives speaker had to monitor their patient condition after hospitalization.
The car drove by former Metro TV stringer, Hilman Mattauch hit electricity pole. Novanto said, he did not remember details of the accident because he fainted immediately.
"After being hospitalized, the patient is asked to consult to the doctor," he said.
He added, KPK investigators were also has scheduled examination on e-ID corruption case defendant, Irman. "Irman will be examined in the investigation of suspect SN (Setya Novanto)," Febri said.
KPK continued to complete Novanto dossier. A number of witnesses have been examined, ranging from Parliament member, Agun Gunandjar Sudarsa, Miryam S. Haryani to chairman of Golkar Party's Supervisory Board, Aburizal Bakrie.
KPK has renamed Setya Novanto as suspect of alleged e-ID corruption case for fiscal year 2011-2012.
The determination of Novanto as suspect was in accordance with the issuance of investigation warrant (Sprindik) on October 31, 2017.
For his actions, Setya Novanto is suspected of violating Article 2 paragraph (1) Subsider Article 3 of Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 31 Year 1999 as already amended in Law Number 20 Year 2001 on the eradication of Corruption Juncto article 55 paragraph (1) to-1 Criminal Code.
