REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) met with Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister Dato Seri Wan Azizah Wan Ismail at the Presidential palace here on Tuesday. Wan Azizah Wan Ismail had expressed sympathy and condolence over the powerful earthquake hitting the two Indonesian regions recently causing the loss of more than 2,500 lives.
"My sympathy for the victims," said Wan Azizah, who wore the pink hijab, while Jokowi, wearing a black batik shirt.
The Persatuan Bulan Sabit Merah (PBSM) from Malaysia has sent humanitarian aid by a cargo plane Airbus A400M (heavy-airlift) for the quake victims in Central Sulawesi.

President Jokowi was accompanied by Minister at the State Secretariat Pratikno and Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi.
"Thank you for the Malaysian aid given to victims of earthquakes in Lombok and Central Sulawesi," Jokowi said when welcoming his guest.
Prime Minister Mahathir Muhammad already met with Jokowi earlier and former Deputy Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, who is Wan Azizah's husband also already met with Jokowi in this West Java city.
