REPUBLIKA.CO.IDBEKASI -- Ramadan 1445 Hijri soon. Pondok Pesantren (Ponpes) Nuu Waar Al Fatih Kaaffah Nusantara (AFKN) Setu, Bekasi, West Java will hold Khatamul Quran.
Publicist of Ponpes Nuu Waar AFKN Ustaz Muhammad Jufri Halim said Khatamul Quran is a tradition every Ramadan held by Ponpes Nuu Waar AFKN.
“Last year 5500 deaths. This year 6,000 deaths,” Ustaz Jufri said on Monday (19/2/2024).
According to Ustaz Jufri, the execution of the Khatam of the Quran begins late Shaban to the end of Ramadan. “We finish five days before Lebaran,” Ustaz Jufri said.
According to Ustaz Jufri, the death of the Quran involves all santri, students, teachers, staff, and alumni of the boarding school.
“Alumni in these areas are also involved,” Ustaz Jufri explained.
Meanwhile, AFKN President KH MZ Fadzlan R Gharamatan said the Khatamul Quran program is an attempt to make Bekasi Regency, which is the location of the boarding school, illuminated with the light of the Quran. “With this verse of the Quran, Allah will avoid disturbing the danger of Bekasi Regency,” Kiai Fadzlan said on one occasion.
Kiai Fadzlan, a scholar from Fakfak, West Papua, explained that this Koran practice had begun long before this boarding house was located in Setu. Initially, this boarding school has been pioneered from starting small tenement houses around Pondok Hijau Housing, East Bekasi.
“In the past, santri still lived in rented houses. Thank God, from the tenement there were thousands of alumni, some of whom became soldiers, policemen, teachers, medical personnel, and so on,” Kiai Fadzlan explained.
Now, with the current boarding school, the passion to fill Ramadan with the Quran recitation has become even higher. Therefore, this year, the program of tilawah and khatam of the Quran was born 6000 times during the month of Ramadan.
“May this program continue to increase, until this country is filled with the light of the Quran,” he stressed.
