Jabar Kombes Police Public Relations Officer Jules Abraham earlier said officers were still pursuing the fugitive perpetrator. They also found that the names Andi, Dani and Pegi were nicknames, thus becoming an obstacle in the investigation process.

He also denied that one of the perpetrators was a child of a police officer. Jules mentions that Eky's victim was the son of a police officer in Cirebon.
