REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, DEPOK -- Mochammad Thohir Foundation hopes that Eid al-Adha 2025 can benefit the community around Masjid at-Thohir, Tapos, Depok, West Java.

Mochammad Thohir Foundation chairwoman Giovanna Thohir said the sacrifice program at Masjid at-Thohir was running smoothly with the support of nearby residents. According to him, the participation of local residents brings its own blessing to the foundation.

“The more prosperous the mosque, the more prosperous we are as well as our society. So God willing we can continue to give blessings to the surrounding community. God willing is not only a holiday but also every day,” Giovanna said in Jakarta on Friday.

This year, the At-Thohir Mosque sacrificed seven cows and 18 sheep/goats. Giovanna said this year's victims had increased compared to the previous year.

As many as 700 packages of sacrificial meat are planned to be distributed to communities around mosques, dhuafa orphan foundations, orphanages and others.

“We are channeling it to 700 recipients, orphanages and other institutions. Last year 1-2 RT, this year we will thank 5 RT,” Giovanna said.

Giovanna hopes that the sacrificial activities at the Mochammad Thohir Foundation can bring blessings and benefits to the surrounding community.

“Hopefully with this activity, we can get closer to the community, the more prosperous together. Because of our vision to help, to give blessings, to benefit and to be close to each other as one happy family unit,” she said.
