REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA — Erick Thohir, currently serving as Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN), is one of the figures that president-elect Prabowo Subianto called to his residence on Jalan Kertanegara, South Jakarta, Monday (14/10/2024).
The Supreme Administrator of Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) considers Erick a leader who deserves to be recalled to join the Prabowo-era cabinet.
Chairman of PBNU for Membership and Caderisation, KH Miftah Faqih believes that Erick Thohir could be the key to the success of Prabowo's government. “Erick himself could be the key to that success. Since he has already planted the foundation in such a way, then this cannot be cut. So Erick was taken to oversee that sustainability,” Kiai Miftah told Republika on Wednesday (16/10/2024).
He explained, Erick deserves to be called because of his professionalism. According to him, Erick Thohir is a representation of a person who knows directions and has big dreams.
'So had a big dream, but he knew the direction, knew how to make that dream come true. That's what professionals are. And Erik is a professional,” said Kiai Miftah.
