Indonesian MP plans to meet Palestinian President

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Commission I of Indonesian House of Representatives plans to meet Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in Ramallah. The entourage will be accompanied by Palestinian Ambassador to Indonesia Fariz Mehdawi.

"The entourage will stay alert even though Palestine and Israel is in cease-fire," a member of the House, Muhammad Najib, said on Saturday.

The House will deliver Indonesian support for Palestinian effort to become a full member of UN. "This is important because some parties urge President Abbas to annul the plan," he said.

Secondly, the House will urges Hamas and Fatah to unite to make stronger Palestine, both on diplomacy and military. Indonesia hopes Palestine and Israel are in peace permanently.

Several NGOs and Humanitarian Aids will help the House entering Gaza. They will also bring aids for people in Gaza.
