REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Indonesian Mosque Council (DMI) distributed one thousand Qurans to a number of mosques in Papua. DMI of Biak Numfor in Papua hopes Papuan Muslims will be able to recite Quran during Ramadan.

"The Qurans are gifts from Islamic Boarding School of Al Fattih Kaffah Nusantara of Jakarta. DMI has distributed it to mosques's council since Monday," Chairman of DMI of Biak Numfor, Syaifuddin said on Thursday.

Syaifuddin hoped that the presence of DMI could unite people and mosques in Biak in the prosperity of the mosque as a place of worship and also social activities.
