REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Indonesian born female singer, Anggun C Sasmi won the World Music Award 2014. She received the prestigious award in Monte Carlo, Monaco on Tuesday.
"The Best Selling Indonesian Artist, thank you!" Anggun wrote in her Twitter account recently.
Anggun also uploaded her picture kissing the trophy. She was awarded with other international singers like Mariah Carey, Adele, Pharrel Williams, Fall Out Boy, Justin Timberlake, and Miley Cyrus.
The World Music Awards is an international awards show founded in 1989 under the high patronage of Albert II, Prince of Monaco and is based in Monte-Carlo.
It was not the first time Anggun nominated in the World Music Award. She previously has been nominated for several categories including Best Indonesian Singer and Best Female Single Artist in the world.
