Police investigate three locations over Papua’s shooting

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – Police are still investigating the case of the shooting of Trigana Air in Papua. Now, the investigation was focused on three certain locations, the Chief of Indonesian National Police, Timur Pradopo, said on Tuesday.

“The three locations are Tembagapura or Timika, Puncak Jaya, and location between Puncak Jaya and Timika,” Pradopo said.

Indonesian National Army and local government assist the police for additional security. The effort is reactive and preventive act from the police.

Mulia Airfield as a location of the deadly shooting on Sunday morning, now gets back normal activity. “The place is important sector in transportation. It should be normal,” he explained. The investigation over the weapon control, origin, and usage in Papua will also be conducted.
