REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Jakarta provincial government through Department of Tourism and Culture is preparing a new tourism trip using double-decker busses. The new route will pass several shopping centers in Jakarta.

"We are currently preparing shopping tourism package to attract more tourists to come to Jakarta," Head of Jakarta's tourism and cultural departement," Arie Budiman said on Thursday.

However, bus fleet shortage still a big problem to Provincial Government of Jakarta. The capital city has only 5 double-decker buses out of 10-15 buses needed per route. Budiman said that local government would add bus units to add the capacity. They have allocated regional budget 25 billion IDR. The new route starts from Hotel Indonesia (HI) roundabout, Semanggi plaza, Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), TVRI, Senayan City, Senayan plaza, then back to HI roundabout.
