REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has filed a letter of request to Directorate General of the Immigration of Ministry of Justice and Human Rights to impose an overseas travel ban against the Musi Banyuasin regent Pahri Azhari.
"That's right, there is a request from the KPK over travel ban to the Directorate General of Immigration, Ministry of Justice and Human Rights on behalf of Banyuasin Regent Pahri Azhari for six months starting today," acting deputy chairman of KPK Johan Budi said here on Sunday.
The request for the overseas travel ban was filed following the red-handed caught (OTT) conducted by the anti-graft body in the house of the Musi Banyuasin regional legislative council (DPRD) member on Friday night (June 19).
KPK has named four men as suspects of the OTT with regard to an alleged bribery case relating to the discussion over the revised Draft Budget and Expenditure Amendment (RAPBDP) 2015.
The suspects are chairman of Commission III of the PDIP faction in the Musi Banyuasin DPRD Bambang Karyanto, and his fellow members of Commission III of the Gerindra faction Adam Munandar as alleged bribe recipients of Rp2.56 billion.
Another two suspects are chief of the Revenue Management and Asset Financial affairs (DPPKAD) office Syamsudin Fei and chief of the Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda) affairs office Faisyar who allegedly gave bribe to the two members of the Musi Banyuasin DPRD.
