REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BANDUNG -- West Java provincial government planned to complete the process of land acquisition in construction of West Java International Airport (BIJB) Kertajati, Majalengka.
According to Secretary of West Java provincial government, Iwa Karniwa, the West Java government and Majalengka government had agreed to work together to immediately complete the land acquisition and other social issues in the area affected by the airport construction.
"We have identified the problems," said Iwa, after holding a special meeting with Regent of Majalengka, Wednesday (4/11).
According Iwa, there were a number of obstacles, such as budget allocation for land acquisition. However, West Java provincial government had allocated Rp 133 billion from Regional Budget to acquire 70.46 hectares of land.
The land acquired was for 4000 meter runway with an area of 36 hectares. Then, there were land acquisition in Bantar Jati village of 3.6 hectares, access road for Cemetery of 10 hectares, and public land of 14 hectares.
"The land acquisition progress reached 873.73 hectares, including 80 hectares of village land," he added.
The construction the airport runway of 2,500 x 60 meter from the State Budget funds would be completed in 2015, including the taxi way and apron with a budget of Rp 25 billion.
"If the obstacle has been completed in a short time, Kertajati Airport construction can be completed in 2017," he said.
