REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Bandung Mayor Ridwan Kamil decided not run in the 2017 Jakarta Gubernatorial election. Mayor familiarly called Kang Emil apologized to every person that encourages him to challenge Basuki Tjahaja Purnama.

"I apologize to them who have submitted suggestion," Kang Emil said on Monday (29/2).

Kang Emil admitted during the three months visited and came to national figures, starting from the political elite, MPR, DPR, DPD, to Prabowo Subianto and Indonesian President Joko Widodo.

According to Kang Emil, it has already four major parties invited to talk about his participation in the 2017 Jakarta gubernatorial election, scush as Nasdem Party, Gerindra, PKS, and PDIP.
