Volcanic eruption still affecting Denpasar-Yogyakarta flights

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, DENPASAR -- Mount Kelud eruption in East Java remains affecting domestic flights from Ngurah Rai airport in Denpasar to Adisucipto airport in Yogyakarta, official said.

"As of Sunday, only the flights from Denpasar to Yogyakarta are being disturbed," Ngurah Rai Airport Duty Manager Agus Adi Pratomo said.

According to him, flights from Denpasar to Adi Sucipto airport were still halted because volcanic ashes that covered the runway had yet to be cleared.

But the Husein Sastranegara airport in Bandung, West Java, which has been closed since Friday because of the eruption were reopened at 9 on Sunday morning.
