VIVA – Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) ke-94 baru saja mengumumkan daftar lengkap nominasi untuk Oscar tahun 2022.
Dipandu oleh Leslie Jordan dan Tracee Ellise Rose, daftar nominasi Oscar 2022 tahun ini akan memberikan penghargaan untuk film-film terbaik yang dirilis sejak 1 Maret hingga 31 Maret 2021 lalu.
Dari daftar nominasi yang telah dibacakan diketahui bahwa film The Power of Dog meraih nominasi terbanyak untuk Oscar di tahun 2022 ini, termasuk pasangan kehidupan nyata Kirsten Dunst dan Jesse Plemons yang berperan sebagai suami dan istri dalam film tersebut.
Kirsten Dunst diketahui mendapat nominasi dalam katagori Best Supporting Actress untuk perannya sebagai Rose Gordon. Sedangkan Jesse Plemons diketahui mendapat nominasi dalam katagori Best Supporting Actor untuk perannya sebagai George Burbank dalam film tersebut.
Kemudian ada film Dune, film fiksi ilmiah epik yang dibintangi oleh Timothée Chalamet ini, memperoleh 10 nominasi, sementara Belfast dan West Side Story mendapat tujuh nominasi untuk oscar 2022 tahun ini.
Oscar ke-94 tahun 2022 ini juga diketahui menjadi ajang penghargaan pertama bagi penyanyi Beyonce, diketahui tahun ini Beyonce masuk dalam nominasi untuk katagori Best Original Song category.
Beyonce diketahui membawakan lagu "Be Alive" bersama Dixon, yang ditampilkan dalam King Richard, sebuah film biografi tentang ayah Serena dan Venus Williams. Selain Beyonce, tahun ini juga menjadi tahun pertama bagi Billie Eilish.
Dalam ajang Oscar 2022 ini, Bellie Eilish masuk dalam nominasi Best Original Song category bersama Finneas O'Connell untuk lagu mereka "No Time to Die," dalam film terakhir Daniel Craig sebagai Bond.
Selain itu, Oscar ke-94 tahun ini juga menjadi tahun pertama bagi Kristen Stewart. Oscar 2022 ini, Kristen Stewart masuk dalam nominasi untuk katagori Best Actress untuk perannya sebagai Putri Diana di Spencer.
Kristen Stewart sebelumnya menerima anggukan untuk perannya dari Critics Choice Awards dalam kategori aktris terbaik dan Golden Globes untuk aktris terbaik - slot drama film.
