REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, SURABAYA -- The Ministry of Religious Affairs (Ministry of Religious Affairs), in cooperation with the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), organized a Reflection and Actualization of Integrity Training (PRESTASI) for its officials. The training aims to build integrity and form change agents in the environment of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Corruption is still one of the main obstacles in achieving the country's goals. The eradication of corruption can not only be solved with a repressive approach, but it needs to be supported with a preventive and educational approach.

The building of individual integrity became the initial foundation for internalizing anticorruption values, especially for the ASN as the driving wheel of government. To realize “Smart ASN” and world-class bureaucracy, integrity becomes the most important characteristic.

In line with the PANRB Candy No. 60/2020 on Developing the Integrity of ASN Employees, KPK through its leadership in the field of education and role and society continues to strengthen the principles and beliefs of integrity for ASN.

This PRESTASI training is preferred for ASNs who have strategic authority in the Ministry of Central and Local Government. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs became the first ministry to organize this training.

Trainees consisting of the Rector, the Secretary of the Central Echelon I Unit, the Inspector, the Bureau Chief, as well as the Head of the Regional Office are expected to be agents of change and role models for their members, their subordinates, and their environment.

The Inspectorate General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Faisal, said that this initiative is important to shape officials into role models of integrity and catalysts of the integrity ecosystem.

“I am sure this initiative will give birth to officials who have the soul of problem solvers and are able to provide alternative solutions in building an ecosystem of integrity,” Faisal said (5/3).

This PERFORMANCE training will be conducted on a continuous basis to expand the network of integrity “ambassadors” in the environment of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Irjen also continued to remind that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is the only Agency that bears the word religion. The value of anticorruption should already be the cornerstone of ASN's work especially in the ministry of religion. “If there is an ethical violation, the leadership does not let it! The leadership must respond, this is expected to reduce cases that could potentially come to the surface, and this training can trigger the courage of parents to solve it,” Faisal press (5/3).

The training was also attended and opened by Deputy for Education and Community Roles from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), Wawan Wardiana.
