REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Director of State Officials Wealth Report (LHKPN) of Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), Cahya Hardianto Harefa, said that until June 2015 KPK has handled 261 cases of corruption of state officials.
"KPK has handled corruption cases of 81 members of DPR/DPRD, 14 governors, 48 regents/mayors, and 118 echelons," said Cahya, at the workshop of Coordination and Supervision on Corruption Prevention and Declaration of Wealth Report of Regional Head Candidate, in Makassar, Wednesday (3/12).

He said, studies carried out indicated that corruption cases raised social impact tens of times greater than economic impact. Indonesia basically has large capital a state, including natural resources, such as the largest gold mine.
Unfortunately, corruption has led this country down. One indicator was the number of poor people reached 30.25 million.
"Regional stakeholders are required to have high integrity. The Commission continues to encourage the development of national integrity," he added.
