REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The issue of cabinet reshuffle volume II blew. Minister from economic sector and the attorney general were predicted to be the target of President Joko Widodo to be replaced.

Political Economic Analyst of Indonesian Political Economy Association (AEPI) Kusfiardi said, the cabinet reshuffle could be seen as an effort to increase the government's performance in implementing the constitutional mandate. In the economic sector, he said, the measure was improvement in fiscal performance in strengthening the national economy and improving people's welfare.

"It is seen that almost all ministers in economy and people's welfare have bad performance. BPS data showed economic growth slowed, unemployment and poverty has also increased," said Kusfiardi, in a written statement on Sunday (20/12).

He stated, some names were rumored to be replacing the four ministers. Former treasurer of PAN, Sakti Wahyu Trenggono reportedly had support of PAN and PDI-P to enter the cabinet to replace Rini Soemarno as Minister of SOEs.

"While position of ministry of finance will be occupied by Sri Adiningsih. Sri is currently Chairman of the Presidential Advisory Council," he added.

Minister Sudirman Said, he said, would be replaced with former Director General of Mineral and Coal, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Raden Sukhyar, which has experienced for more than 30 years in Energy and Mineral Resources sector.

In the legal sector, M Prasetyo also would be replaced. He reportedly would be replaced by former head of Indonesia's Constitutional Court 2013-2015 period, Hamdan Zoelva.

"The names that appeared as a substitute also did not give a signal that the government's performance will improve," he said.

According to Kusfiardi, in current situation, the President needs people who have neoliberal thought to work in the government as Ministers.
