REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, MATARAM -- Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) and the Integrated Licensing of West Nusa Tenggara in cooperation with the central government will organize the tourism sector of Regional Investment Forum and labor intensive activities, on next May 22-23. Seventeen foreign investors are ready to participate in such activities.
"There are some foreign investors from various countries are ready to participate in such activities. There are 15 investors from South Korea, the UK and Japan each one investor. Data collections of investors are still running so it is estimated that more investors will attend it," said Deputy Campaign of BKPM, Himawan Hariyoga on Tuesday, May 12.
He said, BKPM also invited the provinces in Java, Bali, Nusa Tenggara and Papua. As well as, embassies and representatives of the State who are in Jakarta. It is estimated that total number of participants who will be attending the event reaches 300 to 400 people.
According to him, the event was held as an opportunity for the region to demonstrate the potential of investment in each region. In addition, it invites investors who have long invested in NTB.
"We invite prospective investors who are interested," he said.
Himawan said that in the event it does not target the investment value will be obtained. However, it hopes that the forum appear concrete investment agreement for tourism and labor intensive at the NTB.
"We do not target investment value will be agreed, but we prepare investment objects that will be offered to investors such as Sembalun, Mandalika and agro-tourism in the region of NTB," he said.
He also said BKPM are cooperating with local partners in NTB such as private or public enterprises to engage in such activities. Wherein, the focus of activities will lead to investment in tourism infrastructure and energy sectors. According to him, one of the considerations of investors in investing is not only based on the potential of the area. However, it is important to note is the feasibility of such objects.
