REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, MAMUJU -- The government of Indonesia provided IDR 82 billion in funding to rebuild the Grand Mosque of Mamuju Regency, West Sulawesi Province (Sulbar), which was damaged by an earthquake on January 15, 2021.

Mamuju Regent Sutinah Suhardi said the Mamuju Government thanked the central government for being willing to help rebuild Mamuju Grand Mosque damaged by the earthquake.

With this help, Mamuju Grand Mosque, which has become an icon of the city, will stand as magnificent as before.

“The budget for the construction of the Mamuju Raya Mosque was channeled through the Ministry of PUPR and the Sulbar Region Settlement Infrastructure Hall, and the work has started and is expected to be completed in October 2024,” he said some time ago.

He hopes that this Suhada Mamuju Grand Mosque will be the most magnificent mosque in Sulbar Province.

Mamuju Grand Mosque was built by the local government since 1996 before it was finally damaged by the earthquake.

The Mamuju Raya Mosque was built with the help of the community and the local government so that with the help of the government using the budget of the state budget, it is very grateful.

“The government of Mamuju Regency is also trying to contribute so that the construction of the mosque can be completed as soon as possible and the community can function,” the Regent said.
