REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, GENEVA -- US Secretary of State John Kerry will be flown to Boston for medical treatment on a US military C-17 aircraft coming to Geneva from a base in Ramstein,
Germany, his spokesman said on Monday.
Kerry broke his right leg in an accident while cycling a portion of the Tour de France route in the Haute Savoie region on Sunday and remained in Geneva's main hospital overnight for observation.
"Secretary Kerry will be transported to Boston aboard a US military C-17 transport aircraft. The aircraft, based in Ramstein, Germany, will be staffed by additional military medical personnel in keeping with standard practice," State Department spokesperson John Kirby said in a statement.
