REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – Mosque in office area should be opened to all worshippers, says Slamet Agung Rijadi, Operational and Service Manager of Baitul Ihsan Management of Bank of Indonesia (BI). He believes, all mosques in office area such as Baitul Ihsan are the center of worshipping and building the ummah.

“Baitul Ihsan can help to strengthen the faith and intellectuality of our officers, our families, and in general Muslims in Jakarta. It is also a center to serve the ummah. That is what Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) told us,” Rijadi said, recently. 

Therefore, the mosque should vary its program to attract people, for example by organizing daily prayer while at the same time the mosque should be continuously managed in a professional manner.  Rijadi said, the mosque must also cooperate with public or social institutions.    

“Hopefully the mosque will be able in empowering and building our officers, families, and Muslims in general, in order to develop noble behavior. In the end, this behaviour will be a great contribution to Islamic civilization,” Rijadi cited.
