REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BANDUNG - Three foreign investors are interested to invest in construction of photovoltaic plant to be built by PT LEN Industry in Karawang, West Java. Those investors are from China and Thailand.
"We cannot reveal the companies at this state but they are serious and we have made the presentation about the project in Europe," Director of Finance at LEN Industry, Andra Y Agussalam said in Bandung on Friday.
Although LEN Industry opens to foreign investment, but the company still remains a major shareholder. Base on the plan, LEN Industry will have 51 percent shares.
The costs to construct the electricity generating plant is swelling. In preliminary calculations, the investment worth only 45 million USD but it increases to 50 billion USD now caused by fuel price hike. Local banks, such as Bank Mandiri, are also interested to fund the project.
Photovoltaic plant of LEN Industri will be built in nine months on area of 20 thousand square meters to accommodate the machines photovoltaic production with capacity of 60 Medieval Warm Period (MWp). Production capacity will be gradually increased to 350 MWp.
