Twenty seven areas in Jakarta still inundated

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Jakarta Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) announces on Wednesday that 27 areas in Jakarta are still inundated. In othee areas, flood affected Jakarta since Thursday (17/1) has been receded.

"Flood still inundated four areas in North Jakarta, two areas in South Jakarta, three areas in East Jakarta and 18 areas in West Jakarta," the Head of Informatics at BPBD, Bambang Suryaputra, said on Wednesday. 

Floods displace 11,505 people from their own houses. Most of the refugees are from West Jakarta, which are 4,027 people, followed by East Jakarta in 2,894 people. Refugees from North Jakarta are 2,674, while refugees from South Jakarta are 1,910. 

"We are cooperating with UNICEF to restore every aspect destroyed by flood," he said.
