REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA –- Commissioner of National Commission of Human Rights, Natalius Pigai, said that muslims in Tolikara were attacked by 15 thousand people in Eid Mubarak. However, none of them was hit by stone.
"The facts showed that all muslims were attacked by 15 thousand people, but it also showed that from the attack, none of the muslims who were praying hit,” he explained, Monday (10/8).
He said that there were two aspects in dealing with this case. Those were religious intolerance and mass shootings.
Another fact showed that there were officers who shot the citizens. The shooting was caused 12 people injured and a person died. Besides the shooting, there was also a burning kiosks which were spreading to small mosque in Tolikara.
“But we did not find any hatred of the masses against muslims,” he added.
