REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JOMBANG -- Habib Husein Husein Jafar al-Hadar invited ulema to actively preach on social media. According to him, during this time the science of ulema was very numerous but only spread among limited circles.

“They have been preaching only on the study stages. In fact, there is a lot of knowledge. So, I invite people to be active on social media so that the knowledge can be enjoyed by more people and its benefits more to different circles,” Habib Husein said in a release received on Thursday (28/12/2023).

Habib Husein in the event at Denanyar Pesantren, Jombang Regency, East Java, added that it is time for ulema and santri to become pioneers of preaching among the younger generation. The trick is by taking advantage of the various media platforms that exist today.

He also expressed the importance of understanding faith, Islam, and ihsan in one unity. He gave a guideline that live, let alone worship, as if you were seeing God. And if you do not see God, realize that God always sees you.

“If we are aware that God is always looking at us, we will not be maximizing. His recharge is that we always see God, because God always sees us,” he said.

Habib Husein also disavowed the opinion of Imam Ali as a reference of behavior and perspective. “Imam Ali ibn Abi Thalib once said that if you want to see your faith, look at yourself when you are alone. This is important, because people are usually weird on their own. So, if you want a test of faith, look at yourself when you have no friends, when you are alone, when you are in the shower. Usually when we are with people, we often cosplay as believers because it is not pleasant to be seen with people,” said Habib Jafar.
