REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA –- Acting deputy chairman of Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), Indriyanto Seno Adji hoped the case that ensnared KPK non-active leader’s Abraham Samad and Bambang Widjojanto, and Novel Baswedan could be stopped. It was in the interest of synergy between law enforcement agencies.
"Personally, there is a hope of completing all of this for an integrated law enforcement interests between KPK, National Police, and the Attorney General," said Indriyanto when confirmed on Tuesday, May 26.
According to Indriyanto, deeponering could be an option for the Attorney General to drop the cases that have entered the stage of prosecution. As for the police, the mechanism of termination case could use instruments of warrant to terminate the investigation (SP3).
However, Indriyanto admitted so far there has been no negotiation of KPK to the Police and the Attorney General to request the termination of cases that are wrapped around AS, BW, and Novel. All the decision to stop the cases of three people is relied to the two law enforcement agencies.
"Now, all of it is a legal domain of National Police and Attorney General totally. So we leave it all on the two law enforcement agencies. Until now there has been no negotiation about it," said the professor of the University of Krisnadwipayana.
