REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- PT Bank Muamalat Indonesia Tbk presents an innovation in banking products that allow customers to save and do charity through the program Tabungan Prima Berejada (TPB) Ramadan Package 1445 H.
SEVP Retail Banking Bank Muamalat Dedy Suryadi Dharmawan said that the program is unique and different from other savings because TPB Paket Ramadan is also a means to share goodness during the holy month of Ramadan.
“This corresponds to the profile of customers at Bank Muamalat who like sharia banking products with added value in the form of charitable opportunities in it,” Dedy said in a written statement received in Jakarta, Monday (25/3/2024).
Dedy explained that the program is a special term savings program with a reward in the form of a Ramadan package voucher given at the beginning. The types of packages offered range from parcels, shopping with orphans and dhuafa, to free homecoming special destinations on Java Island.
TPB Paket Ramadan runs from March 1 to April 30, 2024 and is open to all Indonesians with a minimum nominal placement of IDR 50 million, with the option of saving periods of 3, 6, and 12 months. The flexibility provided by Bank Muamalat is expected to make it easier for customers to choose a period according to their financial plan.
Savings using the Mudharabah Mutlaqah agreement with a yield sharing ratio of 5 percent. These savings are also monthly fee-free.
Transaction and balance checking facilities can be easily accessed through the mobile banking application Muamalat DIN and Internet banking of Bank Muamalat.
Bank Muamalat cooperates with four national amil zakat institutions to distribute donations from the program including Baitulmaal Muamalat (BMM), Rumah Zakat, LAZISNU and Lazisu DKI Jakarta.
Later, customers will be provided with information on the implementation of distribution of donation packages in the form of receipts and photos of activities by each such institution.
According to the company, a similar program was implemented during the past Covid-19 pandemic. Similar programs have been welcomed with high enthusiasm by customers because they can simultaneously donate to communities affected by the pandemic.
